Vroom vroom! Us Angelenos are always on the go, so is it any surprise that food on trucks is a culinary staple in a city of commuters?
We're especially happy about the sustainable food trucks that have parked their mobile kitchens at L.A. sidewalks and parking lots throughout this city. We've rounded up
a few worth adding to our original list from this summer.

I’m about 2/3 the way into the
“Meatless in May” campaign and I’m feeling pretty good. I don’t crave meat the way I thought I would.
That being said, last week I had a pounding headache and was concerned that I wasn’t getting enough vitamins and nutrients as a temporary meatless eater. So, I decided to do some more research. I thought I would learn how great a vegetarian diet is (which I did from all of the pro-veg sites.) But when I read through some of the counter arguments on non-veg sites I was left feeling less than convinced that pe...

As one becomes more and more educated in all things green, you become aware of some startling facts. One of those happens to be the fact that livestock production (aka raising animals for meat consumption) creates more greenhouse gas emissions than transportation. It's hard to fathom that a group of animals creates more emissions than our planes, trains, trucks and cars. But when you think about all the energy it takes to raise those animals, production energy for their feed, their land, their water...all of the sudden the numbers begin to add up.
In 2006, the

Certainly some of the tastiest vegetarian food available has to be Indian food, and
Samosa House of Culver City does not disappoint. The eatery slash Indian market is a treasure trove of hard-to-find ingredients and well-stocked treats, not to mention a great place for vegan and vegetarian curry and of course, samosas.
Crispy potato samosas, mango lassi, and jackfruit are popular menu choices. Inexpensive, but filling lunch combo plates are offered with rice and thin, tortilla-like chapati bread. It's doubtful that the 3-item combo could leave you wanting, despite it lacking meat o...

All those Novembers ago… when the Pilgrims scraped together their first pumpkin pies… they were thankful just to have survived. But survival is so East Coast (just ask your favorite investment banker).
The West Coast is all about thriving, so we do it raw, we do it juicy. And we do it super.
Our holiday pumpkin pie is packed with carroty goodness - in fact, no pumpkins were harmed in the making. This baby gets its orange glow from a healthy infusion of carrot juice. Sorry pumpkin - maybe next year!
It’s all ...
