Treat Yourself To A Romantic Getaway
Treat Yourself To A Romantic Getaway
Forget the teddy bear – get your sweetheart something he/she really wants: a weekend at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
Stay
Retreat into a plush guest room or suite, complete with SoCal flair. They’re green!—each boasts low flow sinks and toilets, in addition to wireless internet, iPod docking stations (what would Valentine’s Day be without a little Marvin Gaye?) and private step-out balconies. Live it up and order some in-room goodies, like a slice of Old-Fashioned Buttermilk Chocolate Cake (edible body paint anyone?).
Drink
Head downstairs to the Windows Lounge for a late night cocktail. Try one of the martinis made with fresh mango puree, fresh strawberries, raspberry, passionfruit, lychee and watermelon! Feeling peckish? Order a bite off their oh-so delish bar menu.
Dine
While chocolates are good (ok, great), Valentine’s Day brunch is even better! Book yours Sunday, February 13 featuring eats from Executive Chef Ashley James. With “vibrant red-themed and aphrodisiac dishes” (made with fresh, organic ingredients – some even from the Santa Monica market), you’re sure to have your boo eating out of the palm of your hand. Check please! If you prefer evenings for romance, book your Valentine’s Day dinner at Culina, Modern Italian restaurant instead.
Work it Out
After indulging in an array of sweets and treats (you are on vacation, after-all) work up a good sweat at the only hotel outdoor gym in Los Angeles. Enjoy fresh air and 180 degree views of the city as you hit the elliptical. Personal trainers are available for those looking for a bit more guidance, as well as private yoga lessons, offered alfresco or in your room.
Play
If weather permits, take a dip in the hotel’s gorgeous saline pool, located atop the hotel. Grab a poolside cabana and sip an Antioxidant smoothie. All of that R&R have you hungry? Dine at the Cabana Restaurant (located right next to the pool) where you can choose from many healthfully scrumptious options, including the Veggie Soy Protein Burger or Egg-White Skillet Scramble (made with organic eggs from local Chino Farms).
Pamper
The masseuses at “The Spa” will certainly work out any leftover kinks you and your sweetie may be experiencing. They use ila Natural Skincare products – organic and sustainably created – and are the only spa in the U.S. to offer ila spa treatments. The Manipura Experience truly is an experience like no other. It begins with a Himlalayan crystal scrub followed by an intoxicating massage using Argan oil and other good-for-you ingredients, topped off by the soothing effects of hot stones. After your treatment, relax in a private sauna or head back to your room for a bit more TLC.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
