Remember the children’s book Everyone Poops? Well here’s the grown up version point blank. Toilet germs suck; keep a lid on it!
.
Toilets were specifically designed and manufactured with a lid. So why do more than 80% of bathroom goers forget to use it? Laziness maybe, or perhaps we forget it’s there with a purpose? The courtesy to put the lid down before a flush is more than a gender battle, it’s sanitation. Here’s why: toilet particles splatter and become airborne (yuck!) in the flushing process. When we don’t use the lid where do you think those particles spread? Yup, all around your compact bathroom space where your towels hang, your toothbrush sits and your favorite beauty products live. Poop germs can travel up to 20 feet (MythBusters Episode 12). That’s a public safety nightmare!
To demonstrate this point further, I’ve attached a very funny video titled Toilet Germs! courtesy of Craig Carden. Maybe this will drive the message home further.
Halt the unnecessary spread of germs in the W.C. If you feel the passion, share this article with your friends, family, neighbors and pets.

Ms Thompson
that’s all well & good for at home, but has anyone noticed that most public restroom toilets have no cover at all? That’s where most of us might worry about germs!
