Free Salad For One and All
Recently opened Salad Bowl Cafe is letting you have your salad and eat it too, and all for free. From 6 to 8 p.m. for the rest of the week, new customers can come in a get a free salad. The options are endless…literally more than hundreds of ingredients to choose from. Why? There’s no such thing as a free lunch, but for this week there is a free dinner.

Moon Shine
The Moon Festival is happening this weekend and there is no better place to celebrate it than in Chinatown. Honoring the change of season this festival will feature offerings from the LA Craft Experience, Chinese acrobatics, a ping pong tournament, yummy food, good prosperity and KCRW djs will be rocking the night away. Why? Prosperity comes to those that attend.

Just GLOW
Prepare for an all-nighter as Glow returns and turns Santa Monica Pier and Palisades park into an all night art gallery. There will be 20 unique temporary art installations ranging from music to technology and everything imaginable in between. Be sure to look out for what the Machine Project has up its sleeve. Head to the carousel…that’s all I’m saying. Why? Glowing does a body and mind good.

Abbot’s a Habit
It’s back, the 26th annual Abbot Kinney Festival is here at last. The street will be packed with locals selling unique finds, fun stuff for the kiddos, a beer garden for the grown ups, live music, a Whole Foods green scene and of course food trucks. Foodies will be glad to know that this year’s festival will feature demos and displays by local chefs and artisans. Get their via bicycle as free bike valet is provided Why? Isn’t it time you cleaned up your habit?

Test Kitchen Fires Up
L.A.’s newest food destination, is also the most innovative. Test Kitchen launched this month showcasing rotating chefs and menus nightly. Sustainable supper club favorites the Chicks with Knives will be hosting a 7 course seasonal/locally sourced meal on Thursday September 30th for $60 per person. If you haven’t check out the Chicks or Test Kitchen, this is the opportunity to do so. Why? Good things come and go.
