Get Amped Up Without Artificial Energy Wings

Get Amped Up Without Artificial Energy Wings

Please baby please, help me with my energy needs.

I’m sure there are many of us out there who are guilty of using a Red Bull here and there to give us “wings” and a much-needed boost during the day (and maybe even mixed with a vodka at night…GASP!).

But by now the word is out that Red Bull and loads of other energy drinks are full of less than “natural” ingredients.  In fact Red Bull has been  subject to bans in France, Norway and Denmark due to concerns of excessive caffeine, taurine and glucuronolactone levels. So what’s an over-worked, under-energized, down to go out /workout/keep going individual supposed to do when the energy gets low?

First, just get more sleep.  Second, if you need a boost instantly and your regular cup of joe/tea isn’t doing it for you, try Bazi Super Fruit Shot.  Bazi has about 80 mg of caffeine (your average cup of coffee has 90-100mg) and isn’t loaded with artificial sweeteners or flavors (goodbye sugar highs).

I recently tried it out after an 11-hour workday before heading to a 2 hour networking event followed by a stop at a friend’s birthday party. I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it to the birthday party, but I did and ended up staying till 2 a.m. and I wasn’t super tired (I got my sleep the next day, don’t worry). I’m not sure I would have the energy to do everything I did that day without that little extra boost.

By no means is any energy drink, coffee, tea, Red Bull or Bazi a replacement for regular sleep, healthy eating and exercising (which ultimately provides the best energy).  But if you’re ever in a situation where you do need that extra boost, it’s certainly a better alternative than “artificial wings.”

YDT Giveaway: For you go-getters out there, Bazi is giving away a three-month supply of its fruit shots valued at $79.95.  If you want to enter to win it, let us know why you need extra energy in the comments and help spread the word on facebook and twitter.

Looks interesting! We definitely all need more sleep but this looks like a great alternative to Red Bull. I’d love to try it seeing as I run a start-up and pretty much am working when I’m not sleeping! :)

I need this to work all day and then have energy for yoga or spinning!
