Eco-Options for Your Teenie Weenie Bikini

It’s summertime and the living is easy, but not when you realize your favorite bathing suit might be giving you an allergic reaction.

Have no fear, because YDT is here and we’ve rounded up our favorite eco-bikinis (made  with allergy-free or eco-materials) for your viewing pleasure.

Eco-Panda: Made locally in San Diego CA from recycled nylon and old fishing nets (plus San Diegans know a thing or two about bikinis).  We love the vibrant colors and variety of cuts that suit most body types.

Jungle Gurl: Handmade in Los Angeles (Silver Lake to be precise) from vintage fabrics.  These exotic prints are sure to bring out the animal in you.  RAAAAWR.

Katharine Hamnett Beach for Yooxygen: This 1950s inspired polka dot bikini is made of 100% organic cotton and comes in blue and purple.  Your inner Marilyn is sure to shine!

Deux FM Lapis One Piece: Personally I think one pieces are hot.  Not only can they accentuate long legs and a lean torso, they leave something for the imagination…and that leaves something to be desired.  Can’t get enough of this elegant number from Deux FM made from soy and organic cotton.

Kelly B Couture: We just gave one lucky YDT reader $100 toward her own Kelly B Swimsuit, but we love Kelly B’s line so much we had to list it again.  Can’t get enough of the tie-dye print made from mostly bamboo and organic cotton.
