It seems that there has been a string of posts, videos and events focused on making L.A. car free (and partially oil free at that).  Here are a few that have earned our attention.

• Treehugger shares Ross Ching’s “Running on Empty” video that shows a day in L.A without a single car.  It’s pretty cool.

• Good Magazine completed a series where a East Coaster comes and walks through L.A. to see what is wrong and right with our public transportation system.

• LA Get Off Oil Day is tomorrow.  There will be a rally starting in downtown L.A. followed by an Eco-Car (showcasing cars that run on alternative fuel) parade to Santa Monica.  Participants will include Fuel’s Josh Tickell and Rebecca Harrell Tickell, Ed Beagly and others.
