Our Favorite LA/OC Veggie Eateries 2010

Our Favorite LA/OC Veggie Eateries 2010

Wow, how time flies. Three weeks ago you pledged to go Meatless in May. Even if you’ve fallen off the, er, vegwagon, we’ve got your back. Last week we hopefully inspired you with some great tips for preparing your own meatless dishes at home. But we all know that dining out can be a social activity here in southern California. In the name of “research” the ydt staff has eaten our way through many a vegetarian and vegan restaurant. So give your pans a rest, grab some friends and check out our local faves:

Elizabeth

Happy to see this list – lots of new places for me to try. Thank you YDT! Just wanted to add my favorite…for amazing vegan (and some raw food), Cru is excellent! 1521 Griffith Park Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90026 (Silver Lake).

Another OC option — Au Lac in Fountain Valley. Super yummy vegan and raw Vietnamese food. I have to admit, their service is consistently horrible, but the food is so good it makes up for it!

Thanks for your comments! Jessica, per your suggestion I have been to Au Lac a couple of times. The pork rolls appetizer is delish, as are a few other items. Thanks for the suggestion! Elizabeth, I’m eager to try Cru when I’m in that ‘hood!
