Culinista Kitchen Streamlines Your Routine

Most of us are not born to be the next Top Chef.  However, there is no arguing with the benefits and value you and the planet get from cooking and eating at home.  So if you’ve got some knife skills, but your organization is lacking what can you do?

Say hello to the Culinista Kitchen, a new in home DVD cooking kit from the Dish’s Dish that comes with three DVDs filled with  instructions, recipes, shopping lists, a reusable tote and cute labels to help you organize what is what in the fridge.

The DVDs help you manage your time by cooking delicious healthy meals for the whole week (6 to 8 meals) in one sitting.  It gives you a variety of options  to mix, match and even freeze what you don’t eat.  And of course you get step by step instructions, shopping lists and secret chef tips and tricks so that you can create meals easily.

Volia, you’re cooking at home and stream lining the process.  Sounds like a win win to this wanna be Culinista.

The Culinista Kitchen DVD kit  is available for $36.

In honor of Earth Day, the founder behind Culinista Kitchen Jill Donenfeld shared her favorite green cooking tips.  P.S. we loved that the DVD set comes in eco-friendly packaging too.

  • Cook once a week like our Culinistas. It’ll save tons on the gas bill since all you need to do is reheat in a microwave or quickly over the stove for the rest of the week.
  • Use your oven less. Have a raw meal every once in a while. It’ll keep your kitchen cool, the gas bill down, and give your digestive system a little break.
  • No peeking. I know it’s tough not to check on your delicious dish simmering away every few minutes, but each time you open the oven door tons of heat escapes. A cooking timer really helps with this.
  • Use the crock pot. Not only does your slow-cooker conserve energy, but there’s nothing better than coming home from a long day to a fully prepared meal.
  • The best thing to do in the kitchen that benefits our planet is to reduce your meat intake to only eating locally-raised and slaughtered, grass-fed animals.
