Roughly one in eight people in the world do not have access to safe water. On March 22nd World Water Day and WaterAid raised awareness of the global water crisis, a large public health issue. Even though World Water Day has passed, the concern for clean water goes on.

One of the viable and safe solutions for providing safe drinking water is to collect rainwater in local communities. Rainwater harvesting is a simple and low cost technique that’s sustainable and permanent where rainwater is prevalent. The benefits include not only sanitation but also empowering the community to manage their own water supplies for generations to come.
