LA Street Food Fest

We taunted your taste buds with this event last week, and we’re doing it again only this time you just have to hold out until Saturday.  LA’s Street Food Fest is coming to downtown LA and will feature over 35 of the city’s infamous food trucks. You’ll find it all from YDT’s favorite sustainable meals on wheels to the original taco trucks of Boyle Heights.  Get the full scoop here including the last of the VIP tickets.  If you don’t get VIP, be sure to show up early as the tickets may sell out. And for those who get thirsty, there will be a  bar that benefits the LA Food Bank.

Lucent L’Amour Takes Over Downtown

If you’re already downtown for the Street Food Fest, stay there and head over to Lucent L’Amour.  The Visionary Love Fest put on by the DoLab will be taking over the Shrine and turning it into a sensual spectacular for the eyes.   Between live dance performances and bands there is sure to be something for everyone.  Plus it’s one of the only events to go up into the wee hours of the morning (4 a.m.)   So awake the night owl in you and head over the visionary event.

The event is also benefiting the eco-community by partnering with the Rainforest Action Network and raise awareness.

Biking for Two?

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to just be for couples.  The peeps at Singular Mag (a magazine for singles) is hosting a beginner bicycle ride on Valentine’s day.  Check out the sneak views of Sullivan Canyon in Brentwood and maybe make a new friend (or something more).

Win a Free Electric Bike

Want an electric bicycle that can go up to 30 mph and is perfect for city community?  Head over to the Melrose Trading post this Sunday and purchase a $3 raffle ticket that will benefit the Greenway Arts Alliance, an organization that benefits the arts in public schools.  The bicycle is being donated by Hollywood Electrics, a new shop that features only electric bicycles, scooters and motorcycles.
