Laugh For a Good Cause
Do you enjoy live comedy shows? Do you want to do something to help out relief efforts in Haiti? Then head to The Groundlings, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Second City or IO West this weekend and catch an improve or comedy show. 100% of the proceeds will be sent to Haitian Relief organizations. If you attend a show at Second City, the owner will personally match the donations given by patrons too. Why? Because you’ll support local talent and people in need.

De-Clutter in the New Year
Live green and lighter in 2010 and learn how at the Green Beacon in Echo Park this Saturday. Julie Naylon of “No Wire Hangers” (and voted number 1 organizer of the year) is teaching a workshop on how to streamline the clutter out of your life. Why? You’ll live leaner, greener and cleaner.

Live in the valley and want to learn how to compost for free? Burbank is putting on free composting workshops that will not only teach you how to compost but will also provide you with a bin to get started. If you walk or bike to the event they’ll deliver the bin to your home for free. Why? Cause getting dirty is good sometimes.

Vegan Bake Sale at Locali
If comedy shows aren’t your thing, than maybe vegan treats are. Locali Conscious Convience store is hosting a Vegan Bake Sale to support Doctors Without Borders relief efforts in Haiti.
