Go Green Expo This Weekend

Go Green Expo This Weekend

Want to see what’s up and coming in the green space for 2010?  Then head over to the Los Angeles Convention Center this weekend for the Annual Go Green Expo. In its third year, it will feature over 250 innovative green businesses, screen eco-films and host a series of informative lectures from the likes of Ed Begley, Mariel Hemingway and panels that run the gamut from green jobs to eco-fashion.

We’re really excited about the panel on Eco-Logical Homes to be led by Astrid Design Studio and will focus on simple ways to green your home from the inside out (Saturday at 2 p.m.).

In partnership with LA Yoga Magazine, free yoga classes will run all weekend long (something that the exhibitors should definitely take advantage of).

The exhibitor list includes many local business we’ve featured here on YDT before so if you haven’t had a chance to check them out, you can see many of them in person, like People Towels and more, all under one roof.

Another exhibitor on our radar is Hollywood Electrics, a one-stop destination for electric bicycles, scooters and motorcycles.

What really makes The Go Green Expo green isn’t limited to the exhibitors on display or the panels it features as the festival itself utilizes a “zero carbon footprint approach to event production.”  From biodegradable trash bags to compostable sponsor banners and even paperless documents, the producers of the event go the extra mile to ensure as little as possible is diverted to the landfill and the atmosphere.

At $10 for admission, you can’t really beat the price and as YDT readers you can take 50% off that when you buy your ticket online with discount code YDTLA (can’t beat only 5 bucks!).

Be sure to stop by our booth if you’re there and say hi!  We’ll be raffling off a fab prize for new subscribers ;)

For more information and to get discounted tickets visit www.gogreenexpo.com.

The Expo opens for its business to business review on Friday January 22nd and runs open to the public from Saturday the 23rd to Sunday the 24th.

It is located at The Los Angeles Convention Center at 1201 South Figueroa Street Los Angeles, CA 90015.
