The weekend is almost here! And everyone loves Friday, the very last day before your weekend fun can begin. Our girl Tina gave us the full scoop on Evolution, they use products that are ammonia free, formaldehyde free, sulfate and paraben free, organically infused and vegan. Alright Orange County YDT readers, we’ve got something going on for you. Perhaps one of your new years resolutions was to get rid of your old clutter, to organize and to start fresh. If you have any old electronics lying around, you can recycle them this Friday at the Huntington Beach library from 9am to 5pm. What better way to get rid of your old computers, monitors, televisions, cables and wires then by recycling them?

So many options, what shall one do? Yet another fun Friday event especially for our eco-fashionistas. Be sure to check out “Handle With Care” a solo art show by Nancy Chiu, Intro Art & Fashion competition finalist which is being held at Harvey’s on Melrose. There will be a meet and greet with Nancy, you’ll also get a chance to see the pre-release “A Little Birdie Tote Me” seat belt strap totes. And of course, there will be finger foods, refreshments and plenty of fashionable people.

We work hard to make a green impact but we can’t do it alone. We need help to remind the youth that going green is an opportunity for them as well. Thanks to the Green Youth Movement, we’ve got a major head start. The mission of GYM is to educate kids and teens about environmental awareness, eco-friendly behavior and small steps that can make a big difference for the future.
