Turn Over a New Leaf at Greenleaf Chop Shop

ydt_greenleaf_saladsThink you have to sacrifice flavor in order to eat healthily and sustainably?  Think again – conscientious cooking is the theme at Jonathan Rollo’s gourmet eatery Greenleaf Chop Shop, which features local, seasonal and organic ingredients in a fast-casual setting.  The Greenleaf menu features dishes with flame-grilled free range meats and fresh organic greens for a tasty meal.

Make your own salad, or have a traditional salad with a gourmet twist, such as the Chicken Caesar ($10) and Kitchen Sink Cobb ($10).  You’ll also find off-the-beaten-path specialty salads such as the Lemongrass Chicken ($10), which features grilled citrus chicken, Thai chili, mango and grilled pineapple, or the Steak Sandwich Salad ($12.50), which is sure to make any salad-phobe warm up to eating veggies with its grilled flatiron steak, jalapeno jack cheese, pickled red onions and a side of cornbread.

JonOr try the signature Greenleaf Lettuce Cups ($3 each) served with chicken, tofu, steak, salmon or ahi tuna wrapped in a butter lettuce leaf and served with a dipping sauce. The menu is rounded off with sandwiches and paninis, gourmet side dishes such as Herb-Roasted Potatoes with White Truffle Oil ($5-$10) and fresh soups.
