Figgin Good Smoothie

Figgin Good Smoothie

No really….this smoothie deserves the Holy Sh*t dance! At the end of July my fig tree was kind enough to offer up 3 pot belly figs to my lab…..otherwise known as the Blending Station. By the way, did you know that figs are good for most diets? High in fiber, calcium and other nutrients, you can’t turn these puppies down. Sometimes the best recipes are developed when one is in a playful mood and there is no attachment to the outcome……as in this case. This really should be called a Peanut Butter Smoothie (because that’s what it tastes like)….but since it is fig season the name represents well…..

Ingredients

2 C water
1/4 C Hemp Seeds
3 Large Figs
3/4 C Frozen Mango
1 Tbsp Almond Butter
1 Tsp Bee Pollen
1 Tbsp Maca
Stevia drops to taste
Sprinkle of Sea Salt
1/8 Tsp Lavender Buds (optional)
2 Tbsp Sprouted Buckwheat (optional)
2 Tbsp Sprouted Quinoa (optional)

Instructions

Blend all ingredients on high….the color comes out like the color of Peanut Butter and so does the taste……weird but true!

It must be the mango colliding with the lavender, figs and almond butter…YUMMMY!
