Time to be proud of your city! Last month, Los Angeles collectively cut water use by a staggering seventeen percent, as compared to consumption a year ago. The drop has been at least partially a result of policies and restrictions on water use, and appeals to conserve water during droughts. Business, family, as well as government properties have all shared in this reduction. According to the Department of Water and Power, there has also been a dramatic downsizing of electricity usage in Los Angeles; by the end of June, the equivalent of 178,700 metric tons of greenhouses gases were saved from emission.
