Did you move to LA to make it big in the film biz, but found that your heart’s green calling wasn’t being fulfilled? (I know I did.)

Cheer up, for Hollywood and green are coming together for the 1st Annual Going Green Film Festival. The festival is asking you to REthink, REplenish, REcommit to your green ideals by creating and submitting Earth inspired films for the event in March 2010.

They want your film if…

•It followed “green guidelines” (e.g. offsets, catering, equipment, etc.) Can be any genre.

•It focuses on third world issues, ecology, the environment or nature.

•It features alternative transportation (e.g. buses, hybrids, scooters, Segways, bikes, etc.)

The festival grand prize is a Hybrid Vehicle* or one of three Hybrid Electric Bikes. Submission rates are pretty economical too. If you submit by August, it’s $45 (the price includes a $20 donation towards Renewable Energy Certificates).

All films must range between 20 min and 120 min (including credits).

Want to take an indepth role in the festival, but don’t have a film to submit?  The festival is looking for two Marketing/PR interns to work on high detail oriented activities from now until March 2010.  It’s an opportunity to work with an established marketing firm, plus make media and celebritiy contacts.  For more information check out the job listing on Idealist.org.
