Situated in a smallish strip mall near Los Feliz/Hollywood area, the tiny, narrow store is jam-packed with anything and everything fair trade, organic and definitely local. Eco-books, soap nuts and a reverse osmosis water fountain off to the right where guests can bring in their Sigg bottles for a quick fill. To the left, organic beers, shea butter candles and locally made Carmela ice cream.

And certainly Locali’s owners did not to forget  meal time either . Piece of advice: try the delish tart and refreshing Arnold Palmer made with freshly squeezed lemonade and house-brewed iced tea. Other great grab-and-go options include the Franklin Phenomenon sandwich with turkey, Monterey jack cheese, greens, tomato and chipotle sauce on soft pretzel bread, or the Hungry Hungry Hippo with arugula, tomato, onion, red pepper, plus hummus on six-grain. Even better, any sandwich can be customized gluten-free or vegan. If you’re hankering for something sweet, opt for the low-glycemic sno-cones sweetened with organic brown rice syrup or xylitol in a plethora of flavors.
