Get Phaded at Apliiq

This Thursday at the Downtown LA Artwalk, you can join Apliiq, Insurgency Inc and Citizen LA’s Hawkeye at the Get Phaded event featuring a LIVE hip-hop collaboration combining art, fashion and music. The Original Shirt King ‘Phade’ will be on site airbrushing one of a kind wearable art. The proceeds will benefit Publicolor, an organization that uses the power of color, collaboration, and design to engage at-risk students in their education by teaching them painting and life skills, empowering them to catalyze lasting change in themselves, their schools, and their communities. Twilight Concerts at the Santa Monica Pier

Summer Twilight Concerts at the Santa Monica Pier are back in full swing this month.  Music legend  and social activist Joan Baez is head lining the show this Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.   All concerts are free and we’re pretty sure that there is free bike valet, though we haven’t been able to confirm that YET.  While you’re there check out the Ferris Wheel which is completely powered by LED lights.

Tesla/Global Energy Independence Day

This Friday July 10th you can celebrate the life of Nikola Tesla, a Yugoslav-American scientist whose discoveries in the field of alternating electrical current contributed to the advancement of the US and rest of the world. Prepare To Plant With Gardenerd
