Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), a non-profit dedicated to affordable access to locally grown produce, has been expanding for the past 20 years, and has opened several pick-up locations in Los Angeles! The Southern California branch receives their produce from the organic Ramirez Farm in Riverside, and offers five different locations within the Los Angeles area for weekly pick-ups of assorted vegetables and fruits. YDT is sending alot of love to
LAIST today. Might have something to do with their focus on farmer's markets and organic food. Check out this study by the IBIS World that points out that eating organic is much cheaper in L.A. when compared to our eastern rivials Chicago and New York. If we can eat healthier at much cheaper prices, we basically have no excuse not too :)
