Advanced Angeleno screening of the film FOOD Inc.

On Thursday June 4th, our city is in for a treat. Watch the advanced screening of FOOD Inc, a film project created by authors Eric Schlosser and Michael Pollan. The film officially opens in theatres June 12th so be sure to take advantage of this early opportunity to learn more about the subjects it confronts from fast food to farmer bullying and much more (check out a great review from Green LA Girl. Evenings at the Marrakesh
Marakesh House Where Eco-Morocco meets Eco-LA

This Saturday June 6th Chris Paine, the Director of Who Killed the Electric Car, and friends invite you to attend the grand opening of Marakesh House, a 21st century green home remodel located in Culver City. Paine has also created a private residence that doubles as venue for art, music and culture for the surrounding community.  The home was build with the motto “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” and the motto means “using as much existing material as possible in order to significantly lower the carbon footprint during the remodeling process.” From 5:00 pm to midnight, you can take a tour of the home, enjoy special music performances and dine on fine cuisine, compliments of Akasha.   It pays to purchase your tickets in advance. General Admission is $25.00 if you buy now and will be $40.00 at the door. Fun fact? Our founder Tracy Hepler got to take a sneak peak at the house already at the Ecoprenuer salon.

LA River Ride
9th Annual LA River Ride presented by the LA County Bike Coalition

On Sunday June 7th the 9th annual LA River Ride is where you can help build a better bike-able community through your  participation in this event, (which promises a ton of two-wheel fun for all.) Comprised of six great bike rides and projecting an expected attendance of 2,000 participants, other activities include an eco expo, live music and international food. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and the rides start at 7.

LA Green Career Conference
Green Jobs at UCLA:  Solar Living Institute Presents the Green Career Conference
