Toe socks bring up images of my college days in the dorms, when co-eds would wander the halls in knee-length striped footwear, each of their toes a different color of the rainbow. Injinji is bringing back this retro footwear style, but with an environmentally-friendly twist, with its patented Performance ToesocksTM, constructed of CoolMaxTM EcoMadeTM material that has been developed from recycled plastic bottles.

These colorful and high-performance eco-socks are designed for an active lifestyle, and can be worn for running, walking, cycling, and other sports.

I was lucky enough to try a pair of the Injinji Mini Crew socks for myself – at first I thought the toe-separated design looked like it could be constricting, but it was comfy and the sock material was soft and durable. Plus, according to Injinji, separating the toes makes your feet less prone to blisters and allows for better gripping.

Available in a mini-crew style in men’s and women’s sizes, the toesock ($14) is offered in three color variations: Rainbow White; Rainbow Black; and Rainbow Blue.

I would wear toe socks just about everywhere, by everywhere I mean the beach, black rock, shopping work. Its just that I don’t think i’d want to wear anything else.
