The Annenberg Foundation is giving Santa Monica a Community Beach House that is free to the public.  The house has been in the works for over the decade and is also the first public beach house in national history.  Check out the grand opening today!  Regular opening is tomorrow!  Use of the house is free, the use of the pool comes with a fee.  The house will be open on the weekends come May.  Check back soon for a few review on the house (and it’s historical and green facts too).

When: 10 am to 4 p.m.  First Splash performance by ‘O’ from Cirque du Soleil at 11.

What: A fun day at the beach including, volleyball, tenis, kite flying (including how to make your own) sculpture demos and more.

Where: 415 Pacific Coast HWY, Santa Monica CA

How to get there: Shuttle from the Civic center parking structure on 4th and Olympic just off of the 10 free.  No public parking on the site on April 25th.
