Indigenous Designs: Fair Trade Knits

Indigenous Designs: Fair Trade Knits

For over a decade, before “green” fashion was at the forefront, California-based clothing line Indigenous has been making all-natural, certified organic, fair trade apparel in remote areas of the world, without sweatshops or assembly lines.
The line of men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel is made from natural fibers such as alpaca, Merino wool, organic cotton and Tencel from regions such as the Peruvian Andes, where local communities produce and knit the pieces in a fair trade agreement with Indigenous.
Styles range from versatile everyday tees and polo shirts to performance wear to trendy tunics and skirts.  The Drape Button Cardigan (MSRP $138) is sure to be a summer evening staple, and the Crochet Edge Dress (MSRP $128) is a fun, casual sundress.

Four lucky readers can win Indigenous clothing from ydt!

We’ll be giving away a Weekender Cardigan in Kiwi (Size Small), Pointelle Tunic in White (Size Small), Easy Cardigan in White (Size Small), and Crochet Cardigan in Red (Size Medium).  Just post a comment (with your valid e-mail address) and tell us which item is your favorite and where you’d wear it by 6PM PST on April 12, 2009.

Indigenous is available at Dillard’s, Whole Foods, REI and www.indigenousdesigns.com. For additional retailer information, call 800-966-5753.

ydt Deal Alert: Plus – even if you don’t win, you can receive 15% off your purchase on the Indigenous Designs website with discount code IDYDT2 at checkout.   The code applies to sale items as well, for an even deeper discount.
