Drink Local Beer at the Golden State Café
Go visit this new restaurant that is living out the message “Think Globally, act locally”. At the Golden State Café everything is from our own Golden State. You’ll find locally raised meats, cheese, breads, veggies and even gelatos that are made in L.A. But for beer connoisseurs, their highlight is the local craftsmen beers (hailing from as close as Pasadena). By drinking these delicious brews you’ll be not only minimizing your carbon footprint (compared to a Belgian brew) but also supporting your local economy (lord knows the Golden State needs it). Go say hello to these new kids in town.

Not only that, these are the first LEED homes in Los Angeles that are going for less than 500,000 (so they’re not exclusive for the rich and famous). While you view the homes, stay and enjoy wine from the Colorado Wine Company and appetizers from Provisions. You must RSVP to attend.
