Weekend Guide
Happening on the second Thursday of everything month this collaborative show case features hand picked local talent in film, fashion, performance art, art, makeup, floristry and hair design with a different theme each month. Tonight, RAW is planned and promoted to be Eco Friendly. Highlights tonight include a screening of award winning documentary “Sink Faze” and DJ Styles and Ira Heinchen of Frisky Radio. The event takes place from 8 p.m. to 2 p.m. so plan on going to working slightly tired on Friday.

The Green Lifestyle Film Festival is an annual designed to inspire, motivate and elevate us towards making more sustainable choices in our lives. The main screenings will take place at the James Bridges Theater, the main screening venue of the UCLA film department. The festival will also include a “outdoor” area free of charge and open to the public with live food demos, exhibitors and live entertainment on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday 8 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8 to 8 p.m. You can see a complete listing of films here. A Day of Service with the Mayor in North East LAJoin one of the largest community service projects in Los Angeles. Volunteers are needed to restore our dilapidated wetlands by removing invasive plants. You’ll be doing good for your city and good for yourself.
