Fanny packs have never had the best reputation, but we think this could change with the Lunabag.  Actually, don’t call the Lunabag a fanny pack – call it a hands-free “hip bag” – to be worn slung low on the hip or as a cross-body bag.  Featured in both leather and eco-friendly hemp, proceeds from the Lunabag go toward The Heifer Foundation, which helps struggling families achieve self-reliance through gifts of agricultural livestock, and Tree People, a California-based organization dedicated to bringing nature to urban ecosystems.

The Lunabag comes with plenty of convenient pockets, and we especially like how it looks when worn across the back.  It’s great when you don’t want to bother carrying a purse or balancing it on your shoulder – like when you’re out running errands, riding a bike, or meeting a friend for a day of shopping.  And if you get it in hemp, a sustainable material, it’s a definite environmental plus!  The ydt team is a big fan as three members of the team own one.
