Celebrate the Chinese New Year with a traditional Los Angeles celebration (the 110th to be more specific).  The L.A. Golden Dragon parade is taking place this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.  Come see the dragon roll through Chinatown and celebrate the prosperity that the year of the Ox will bring!  Street viewing is free; if you want grand stand seats it will set you back $27. Happy New Year!

More Ox Fun: “The Great China Town Hunt”

If you’ve wanted to audition for the Amazing Race but haven’t found your inner courage, maybe this activity will get you going.  The Great Chinatown Hunt will take you on a three-hour adventure through Chinatown’s temples, busy shops, exotic restaurants and tiny corners.  In teams of two to four you’ll solve puzzles and crack codes, so get your best treasure hunting game face on.  Good Luck!

Path To Freedom Presents:  A Neighborhood Green Fair

If you live in Pasadena and didn’t make it to The Go Green Expo last weekend, this local event might just be even better.  Path to Freedom will be there along with 50 green vendors, nonprofit organizations, healthy food vendors and more.  There will also be film screenings, live musical performances, family events, lectures about green living, and easy green tips for every budget.  A Neighborhood Green Fair = local, green living, Pasadena style.
