I’m not that good at keeping resolutions, but I think I have a chance this year with my reusable grocery bags thing. I got some that are small enough to fit in my purse (http://www.breezybags.com).

But the biggest thing is that I’m focusing my job search within biking distance of my house.

Lydia–The Happy Farmer Composter (http://www.amazon.com/Happy-Farmer-Composting-KIT-Black/dp/B000TKHJAU) might be a good apartment option–I’m thinking of using that instead of my worm bin until I have a patch of my own land. Plus, it only takes two weeks to turn into compost. Good luck!

I’m going to try harder to only buy the amount of food I will use. I’m pretty good about local and organic, but as a cook, sometimes I just can’t resist buying some delicious ingredients without a recipe in mind. And inevitably, those are the things that go bad sitting in my fridge. I guess I’ll just have to get a little more creative this year!

One of my new year’s resolutions is also to figure out how to compost in my teenie apartment. This can be tricky.

I’m also going to try to buy more local products and to make my indie biz even more sustainable.
