A Peace Treaty Scarves

A Peace Treaty Scarves

ydt Winners: Congratulations to Elizabeth M. and Ken R. who won last week’s Fierce Hugs Bag and Bamboo clutch giveaways respectively. Keep on participating and you’ll sure to win soon!

Now that fall is rolling into Los Angeles at a breezy 75 degrees, we’re itching to adorn ourselves with A Peace Treaty scarves for men and women – the vibrant colors and patterns are perfect for punching up fall outfits while supporting native artisans in war-torn countries.

A Peace Treaty scarves are limited to no more than 30 pieces per design and are produced by artisans in Pakistan and other areas of socio-political strife. They help stimulate trade in these small towns and draw awareness to their troubled situations. The bright, colorful adornments are typically dip-dyed by hand, have hand-finished tassels, and are made of fine voiles, muslins and sturdy cottons crafted on hand-woven looms.

The current Tasavan Collection features gorgeous and bright, colorful patterns and prints that suit modern fashion while giving every outfit a bit of personality. We love the “Qatna” long stole ($109) in a yellow and blue check and tasseled ends and the “Kamalia” pocket square ($26) in an indigo and white stripe. The black “Eridu” handkerchief scarf ($109) is the perfect complement to your fall jacket with its red, yellow and teal check pattern
So as it gets a few degrees cooler, we won’t lament the coming of crisper fall weather. In fact, we’ll happily reach for our scarves instead!
