Support the local farmers buy purchasing fresh fruit, vegetable and cheeses and enjoy the lively characters who come out each week to make this market what it is. Release the inner Potter in you

Bitter Root Pottery studio, located on Beverly Blvd. gives you the opportunity to play with a pottery wheel and kiln like you’re in a scene from Ghost and no one is watching. Their weekend classes are on both Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and allow you to experiment with your creation with guidance from experienced teachers. The intimate class size makes it a fun event to go to with friends and family. And if your first bowl does not quite look as symmetrical as those candy dishes you bought from Crate and Barrel never fear, there are always the weeknight classes to quench your thirst as well. Location: 7451 Beverly Blvd. (at N. Vista st.) West Hollywood, 90036. Phone: (323) 938-5511.

Suck Blood at The Wiltern

Vampire Weekend will be performing at The Wiltern this Thursday, bringing their collaborative sound to our very own Koreatown. Whether you’ve heard the Columbia grads crooning or not, the generally upbeat and catchy music is well worth the twenty-two dollar ticket to the event. Trust me, you’ll be happy you went. Location: 3790 Wilshire Blvd. (at S. Western) Koreatown, 90010. Phone: (213) 388-1400.
