LISTEN: Cal Phil on the Green CAL

This Saturday July 26th the California Philharmonic will be performing songs by Rogers and Hammerstein at the Los Angeles County Arboretum. Tickets start as low as $20 and guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and enjoy the outdoors. BE A PHILANTHROPIST: Drink Beer!

So it’s not this weekend, but on August 2nd you can drink beer and help raise money and awareness for cystic fibrosis. The event is called “Brew Haw Haw” and will be held in the outdoors at the beautiful Autry National Center at Griffith Park. There will be beer tasting, live entertainment and food! The tickets are $50 and monies go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. All you have to do is show up and drink (oh, and don’t forget to purchase your tickets ahead of time as tickets can NOT be purchased at the door). TASTE: Dessert Decadence

This Sunday at Boulevard 3, the best pastry chefs and bakeries from around Los Angeles will all be under one roof to give you a sampling of their goods. Tickets are $60 and include unlimited amounts of chocolatey goodness and wine. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., just enough time to digest between first and second and third helpings.
