I'm definitely in support of Al Gore's views of being off of carbon emitting fossil fuels in 10 years. It's not going to be easy, but we really have a simple choice. Do we want to continue to burn money that we don't have (i.e. borrowing from China) to pay oil producing countries, or do we want to invest that money in ourselves, in technologies we would develop here and hence create jobs here. Everyone knows it will be difficult, but I truly believe this is the call of our time. How are we going to leave the world for future generations, and what will they say about us, not doing something when we could have....

Even at the end of the day...if the skeptics are right, if global warming is a farce, then all we have really done is clear up the air for ourselves, our kids, and everyone else to come...plus we'll create a new job sector in our nation, and we know that our nation needs this badly. I'm excited that more and more people are starting to take part, and care about where we are heading.

I think this article raises a very important issue. Green is good for the economy! If we lead the way in developing green technologies then the US economy will benefit greatly from exporting these ideas.
