Monday--Active Lifestyle:
Dancing the Night Away

When you’re hot and sweaty, the last thing on your mind is often dancing in a stuffy nightclub. What is a dancing fiend to do this time of year? Why, check out the Twilight Dance Series on the Santa Monica Pier.

Every Thursday night from now until August 28th you can dance the night away under the stars by the cool ocean breezes to a wide array of musical acts (see schedule below).

The Dance Series is in its 24th season and since it’s presented by the folks at Amoeba, you know they’ve definitely put some thought into the music selections. The shows start at 7 p.m. and go until 10 p.m. Parking is limited, and they suggest using public transportation like Santa Monica’s Big Blue Bus. Better yet, if you’re close enough to bike, there will be free valet bike parking starting at 6:30 p.m. What more could you ask for? How about free admission? Yes, you get that too!

So what are you waiting for? Go show em’ what your mama gave you and dance!
