Vert is an “eco chic beauty boutique” located on the equally chic Abbot Kinney Boulevard. They stock their sleek shelves for the discerning beauty consumer with eco friendly products from all over the world. Upon entering Vert I was put at ease with the warm and simple décor, but more so because I knew that all of the beauty lines that owner and make-up artist Renata Helfman has chosen are free of synthetic dyes and toxins. Makeup, body oils, creams, candles, nail polish and much more can be found in this beauty product haven.

The boutique has corralled over 30 brands including CARE by Stella McCartney and Bare Escentuals, as well as lesser known brands, like Priti, and put them all under one roof for the environmentally sensitive. Professional makeup artists are always on site to answer questions, give tips or even apply makeup. Vert also has organic and chemical-free products for the home, babies and dogs too! I’m not going to lie, many of the products are pricey, but as Helfman says, “The products are good for you and the environment!” Note that Vert is closed on Mondays, for what else but “beauty rest.”
