More and more people are getting interested in the green movement, and fortunately for us Angelenos, we seem to have a plethora of events to help us join in the fun. If you’ve wanted to get more active in your greening, and meet others in your community who are contributing to this movement, this event might just be for you.
This weekend is the Green Pasadena Leadership Summit at the Pasadena Convention Center. You can come and see how “greening” is done on the civic level, as city officials discuss ways to make a city more healthy and sustainable place to live. If you’re looking to start out more locally, (and by local I mean your own patch of land or concrete), there will also be discussions and workshops on the best tools to convert your home and work space into an eco-friendly haven.
The weekend’s programs include everything from “World Changing: Local Perspective” and the Caltech Institute’s Solar Panel Project to my personal favorite, “Buying People Out of their Cars.” You can see a full list of the program overview here.
