WALK: Miracle Mile Art Walk

The Miracle Mile Art Walk is the 3rd Saturday of every month and with more than 40 galleries participating it is a fun afternoon of art-hopping. The galleries’ doors open at noon and a free shuttle is available to take guests from place to place. You can always opt to WALK since it is an art “walk,” but then again this is Los Angeles, and of course most things we do involve four wheels. Sigh.

VOLUNTEER: La Gran Limpieza

This Saturday take part in the largest river clean up in the country! The cleanup takes place at 13 different sites along the Los Angeles River and makes an impeccable impact on our city’s river and our local environment. Locations where you can participate stretch along the river from the San Fernando Valley through Los Feliz and Downtown and end in Long Beach. So let’s get down and dirty and help out this sad little river of ours!

SHOP: The Hollywood Farmer’s Market

The Hollywood Farmers market is every Sunday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and one of my favorite open air markets in Los Angeles. You can buy your fruit and vegetables directly from local farmers and support California vendors and growers. It is on Selma and runs from Ivar to Cahuenga and then down some, and if you park in the Cinerama dome and get validation at the market you get two hours for $1. So dive into spring with the taste of fresh blueberries, strawberries, and a lovely street fair atmosphere.

Hello,

I heard about ydt at the USC Marshall “Green Revolution”

It was a comment towards the end of Barbara Boxer’s inspirational presentation. The questions was along the lines of – how do you get taditional minds involved or influenced about supporting sustainable business and its affiliated issues? –

This is a question that I strive to find the answer to in my work every day. The marketing and sales of new ideas is a challenge even to the eco-interested croud.

Nice work, although I am here in the OC, As you grow, maybe you will include more events in this area.
