SEE: Ultima Vez Dance
Belgian choreographer and filmmaker, Wim Vandekeybus, brings his dance troupe “Ultima Vez”
to Royce Hall this weekend for an explosive and daring performance. The troupe is known for its extremely physical style that verges on acrobatic. This is not your average dance performance, and I guarantee that if you are remotely interested in dance you should not miss this group’s Los Angeles premiere.
May 2nd and 3rd at 8 p.m., at Royce Hall

LISTEN: Jazz
Catalina Jazz Club has provided a place for jazz greats such as Chick Corea and Dizzy Gillespie to perform for the last 20 years. Marcus Miller will be performing with his band this Thursday through Sunday, so head to Hollywood and catch some great music, but word to the wise: avoid the food.

SING-A-LONG: The Little Mermaid at El Capitan Theatre
This event ends May 11th so don’t miss your chance to sing along with Ariel and Sebastian, because I know you know all the lyrics. Pre-gaming is highly suggested, and then just sit back and let the six year old in you come out. It’s like karaoke but without all the focus of one room on you. You’ve got nothing to lose!
